DPS Ltd is a service provider for Tesco, assisting in produce procurement, technical, quality, compliance, and sales in a transparent and efficient way. We are based in Maidstone, Kent.

Whether we’re bringing strawberries from Spain or cherries from Chile, we always look to pick, pack, and deliver the freshest possible produce to consumers.

Our efforts to continually shorten the supply chain offers both better quality product for customers and removes any unnecessary costs. Partnering with the best growers across both hemispheres means that we're able to meet demand for consistent, high quality fruit throughout the year.  We are continually striving to minimise the distance from farm to fruit bowl so that customers' blueberries, cherries, nectarines, figs or strawberries arrive looking as fresh as when they were picked.

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who has a particular drive to work within the soft-fruit industry, with an interest in innovation and trials work.

Purpose of role:

• To facilitate the development of data driven supply chains, embracing AI and fast emerging tools to transform the consistency of fresh produce.
• Internal organization and running of product evaluation process.
• Support the technical management team with systems and reports, along with store visits where required.

Location: The role is Kent-based and in person from our Bearsted office and our Linton packhouse.

Hours/salary:40hrs/wk, up to £30,000.

Starting: ideally mid-September - beginning October but we can be flexible for the right candidate.
