Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is looking for 2 enthusiastic and highly motivated people to fill 2 Practical Conservation Traineeships within our Conservation and Land Management Team, one in the North (Lower Moor Farm, Oaksey) and one in the South of the county (Langford Lakes, Salisbury. The Traineeships are aimed at people looking to gain the experience and skills that will enable them to pursue a career within conservation land management.
No formal educational qualifications or previous training is required but applicants will be expected to demonstrate enthusiasm for the chosen role, show a desire and dedication to learn new skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
Trainees will be supervised by an experienced professional from the Trust throughout their training and will gain industry recognised certification including chainsaw and brushcutter tickets. Training will also include species identification, habitat management, GIS, leadership, team and personal effectiveness skills and volunteer management.
