Description

How to Apply

goFARM Australia is a large agricultural investor and asset manager with a mix of dryland and irrigated arable cropping and with some conversion to horticulture permanent plantings (almonds & citrus) and viticulture.

We don’t currently have the ability to ‘sponsor’ visas (this may happen in the future), but the Australian working holidaymaker visa enables students to travel and work in Australia for up to 12m initially and there are multiple avenues for longer stays, particularly in regional areas.

We farm wheat, barley, oats, canola/OSR, faba beans, vetch hay, lentils, chickpeas, corn, and are now one of the largest growers of processing tomatoes in Australia. While this keeps everyone busy, the main play is around land development and conversion and for some of our significant assets, they’re being converted from former dairies or vineyards to almonds with the cropping program part of conversion cycle. All land is farmed in hand and while harvesting and a lot of orchard /tomato work is done by contractors, most of our drilling, spraying & fert application is done by our team.

We are always looking for good people and there are opportunities for machinery operators, spray rig operators, leading hands, assistant managers etc as permanent roles, but equally there would be opportunities for students who might be looking to complete a placement for a few months as part of their course to get some international exposure.

If interested, please contact Chris Brough in the first instance, who will be happy to connect you with the business and their HR team and support the discussion.
