This is your chance to get a real taste of retail, as you're exposed to every facet of our business over the 12 months of your placement.

Don’t be fooled by the word ‘Buying’ here. This large National department covers every aspect of the product lifecycle, from concept to shelf. You’ll choose from three specialisms; Corporate Responsibility, Quality Assurance and Marketing.

Your time will be spent in that specific department, where you’ll work on personal and team projects, build relationships and solve problems in a complex environment. Yes, it can be daunting - but it is also a fantastic opportunity to learn and be inspired by a company that’s so different to all the others.

On this fast-paced placement you will gain invaluable exposure and experience by working within a dynamic environment. You will work cross-functionally with our National Buying Team and our external providers to ensure all products are safe, legal, and meet the required quality standards. You will have the opportunity to work with Aldi’s own products, which present a unique and exciting opportunity to have a genuine impact on the Aldi customer experience and overall quality and value perception.

You will be involved in developing and implementing the over Quality Assurance strategy, as well as collaborating with National and International colleagues.

Please note that our Placement Programmes are for university students currently studying towards an undergraduate degree, who are seeking a placement between their second and third years of study.

You’ll need to be working towards a 2:1 degree, have 96 UCAS points from your top 3 A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications), possess a driving licence and have the right to work in the UK.
