Keystone Environmental combines ecological consulting and contracting to provide comprehensive habitat creation and restoration services.
We are seeking a motivated Seasonal Ecologist to join our team at Keystone Environmental in Tetbury for a 2-3 month project focused on bat data analysis and GIS mapping.
This role offers an opportunity to contribute to conservation efforts by analysing bat population data, interpreting spatial information, and supporting ecological assessments.
The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a passion for ecology, with a strong foundation in data analysis and geographic information systems (GIS).
This paid position is perfect for individuals eager to apply their ecological expertise in a dynamic environment while gaining valuable experience in scientific research and spatial analysis.
A degree or equivalent qualification (N/SVQ Level 5) in Ecology or a related subject (or evidence of working towards this level of qualification); or hold equivalent relevant experience.
Key Requirements include:
- Computer literacy
- A degree or equivalent qualification (N/SVQ Level 5) in Ecology or a related subject (or evidence of working towards this level of qualification); or hold equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience of ecological field survey work and/or analysis of ecological data. Available for immediate start.
- Can travel to our office location in Tetbury.
Desirable requirements include:
- Membership (or eligibility for membership) of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), or equivalent professional body with professional code of conduct. Or evidence of working towards this level of qualification.
- Your own car (noting you will have access to company vehicles).
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
- Understanding of relevant UK environmental legislation.
- Willingness to work independently and outside of normal office hours
