How Now is a small start-up Dairy farm and milk delivery business that is looking for a dynamic motivated individual that is ready to work as part of a team and on their own. As with any start-up we are venturing into unknown territory, so an individual must be ready for difficult problem as well as exciting adventures.

On the farm we are currently milking 20 pedigree organic Ayrshire on a 40 acre farm which we intend to farm biologically (not biodynamic). Health is our priority with the herd and quality in our approach to all farm practices. The main part of the business however, is processing and delivering milk within our local area, so there is a lot of contact with the public and our customers, they set our standard; these are the people we need to impress.

The successful candidate must be able to turn their hands to any new job or skill. This is an exciting new opportunity to help grow a progressive and determined small business. Routine work will be 4-6 milkings per week, 2 delivery runs and 2 processing days. As well as the routine the individual will be involved with; farm maintenance, harvest, grazing management, bedding and calf rearing. When processing the milk, the candidate will be pasteurising milk, packaging and storing as well as maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.  Depending on their interests there are also other roles such as marketing, social media and sales to become involved with.
