LiveStockEx is a new, cloud based exchange for the trading of cattle and other livestock in the UK. The vision of the company is to modernise the way livestock is traded in order to reduce transaction costs for farmers, provide more transparency on price and market dynamics, reduce carbon footprint of moving animals to and from auction markets, and improve animal welfare and biosecurity.

The company is looking for students who are part of farming communities across the UK to promote the company, and sign cattle farmers up to the exchange, to allow them to participate in the new market.

Role Details and Job Description

• The job will be part-time, with no specific hours or regimented start/end times. This will allow students to fit work in with their current obligations.
• The role is a sales role. Applicants will need to be able to understand the LiveStockEx platform (cloud based, and app based, so is available on mobile, laptop or tablet)
• Applicants will visit farms and discuss the current sales process, its downfalls, demonstrate the LiveStockEx system and encourage farmers to sign up to the system (sign up is easy to do, and free of charge). LivestockEx will provide talking points for the applicants to discuss with farmers.
• Applicants are paid by LiveStockEx for conversion. Ie : a fee of £20 is paid for every registered farmer who signs up to the platform.
