How to Apply
The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity which works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.
About the opportunity

It will use the best available technology to provide comprehensive and scientifically rigorous data to show the impact of a farming or forestry on the land. Be part of the exciting piloting phase of the on farm metrics and outcomes being tested, with baseline data collected across 130 farms. Working alongside a farming advisor the responsibilities include infield assessment for soil and biodiversity, water testing and animal welfare assessments. All data will be logged electronically on site. Full training will be provided.
We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable and self-motivated individuals with some practical experience of agriculture and/or farmland environment / habitat conservation who love being out on farms. We would love them to have a good understanding of the principles of agroecological farming systems and experience of soil and biodiversity assessment or on farm audits, but full training will be provided.
