How to Apply
The Woodland Trust is looking for a Site Manager in our Wales team, to manage the Woodland Trust’s sites, in Mid & West Wales, to high professional standards, in accordance with our conservation principles, management approach, policies and contracts, contributing to the Trust’s strategic goals.
THE CANDIDATE
- You’ll need experience working in the land management sector, preferable in forestry or woodland conservation, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders including landowners, statutory and public bodies and local communities.
- You’ll have experience of managing woodlands, managing tree safety and leading the delivery of complex woodland management projects.
- Contract and budget management experience, including tendering and appointing.
- Working knowledge of tree pests and diseases and the impacts to woodlands.
- You must have a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent communication skills, be commercially aware and able to build effective partnerships internally and externally.
- The role is based in Mid & West Wales and will require the successful candidate to travel across Wales with occasional UK travel. A full driving licence is required.
