How to Apply
Each year Kingfisher Ecology recruits from colleges and universities within our work catchment areas to provide vital training to students and graduates looking to pursue a career in ecology and conservation. Full on-the-job training for surveys is provided.
Primary job description:
Undertake protected species surveys, protected species mitigation, Ecological Watching Briefs.
Benefits:
Training for protected species survey techniques including bats, reptiles, amphibians, breeding birds, badgers, dormice, water voles, otters and invertebrates.
Experience can be put toward personal class European Protected Species Licences
Training provided for ecological mitigation and ecological enhancements for protected species.
All on-the-job training will be provided by our friendly and experienced ecology team.
Requirements: A full, clean driving licence and/or access to a vehicle is required as the position will require travel to sites across the south of England.
A keen interest in ecology and a desire and ability to learn ecological survey techniques is essential
Knowledge of current UK and EU legislation on protected species is desirable
We are seeking confident, motivated and enthusiastic team players.
