How to Apply
I am looking to find a regular relief milker/dairy herdsperson for our organic low input farm in Chedworth.
We are a young team and are running Manor Farm on an adaptive grazing system while adopting regenerative techniques. 85% of the farm is in herbal ley which we believe gives our milk a unique taste that makes it perfect for cheese making. We have a farmhouse artisan cheesemaker co-located with us and he has won best cheese in Britain in 2023, 2025 and came runner-up just last month.
We have also diversified into direct sales, running a small vending machine set up out of Chedworth village hall.
We would be pleased to hear from any students (or ex-students based locally) who are interested in dairy farming and would like to gain some valuable, paid experience and therefore interested in regular relief work?
The regular days would be every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the year, totalling 78 days, there would also be an option for a further 93 days to cover staff holidays at various stages (studies permitting).
There is a potential for this role to then turn into a full time job for the right person.
Pay would reflect experience but start at £15 an hour.
