About Us: Tree & Access was born out of a recognition for the need for top-quality tree and ground services in our area. Since our humble beginnings as a two-person team in 2016, we've experienced remarkable growth. Today, we boast a comprehensive team of professionals, including fully qualified tree surgeons, experienced ground personnel and machine operators. Utilizing the latest technology, we excel in both domestic, commercial, and forestry work.
Groundsperson Responsibilities:
- Carrying out all maintenance duties allocated by the Arb Manager or Site Foreman
- Understanding and carrying out verbal and written instructions
- Assisting Arborists with tree removals, pruning, and debris disposals
- Learning techniques and the proper use of tools from senior or more experienced team members
- Operating machinery including chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders and access equipment and undertake daily/weekly safety checks and maintenance operations
- Inspecting equipment and tools and performing repairs and maintenance when required using MeritAG Check and Stihl Connect
- To safely and correctly operate machinery/tools using the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and observing health and safety protocols
- Reporting any issues or safety hazards to the Site Foreman or other relevant parties
- Adhering to company Health, Safety and environmental regulations at all times
- Provide support to climbers whilst following assigned tasks and responsibilities
Groundsperson Requirements:
Essential
- Previous work experience as a Tree Groundsperson or similar
- Full driving licence
- NPTC Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting (CS30)
- NPTC – Accessing a Tree Using Rope and Harness & Aerial Rescue (CS38)
Desirable
- NPTC – Safe Use of Stump Grinders
- NPTC – Safe Use of Manually Fed Wood-Chipper
