Do you have what it takes to become a Residential Development Surveyor?
We’re seeking passionate and driven graduates with a keen interest in property, ideally based within commuting distance of Cambridge or Oxford to join our Residential Development team in September 2025.
The Residential Development Team provides a comprehensive consultancy, buying and selling service for landowners and developers alike across the Oxford to Cambridge ARC. The team offer clients specialist advice across all property sectors seeking to maximise property values.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out research and valuations to develop lines of enquiry and identifying residential development land opportunities
- Co-ordinating the collation and distribution of documentation for tenders and sales particulars
- Undertaking marketing of single-build plots and small development sites whilst assisting the marketing and sale of larger sites
- Drafting reports to advise clients on cooperation agreements, option agreements, conditional contracts and general planning advice
- Carrying out viewings at development sites
- Creating and maintaining a database of residential development opportunities, together with a database of comparable sales transactions
- Preparing presentations to both landowners and developers, promoting Bidwells’ services with the aim of winning planning and development work for the firm
- Utilise and maintain contacts on our centralised system - Hubspot
- Identifying and promoting opportunities for other Bidwells services associated with land development and in particular, securing New Homes instructions and work for other divisions
- Maintaining APC diary and undertaking all necessary work in connection with the APC timetable and requirements
- Providing administrative support to the team to ensure relevant paperwork and client files are kept up-to-date
About You:
- 2:1 in a relevant degree within Estate Management or similar/equivalent, but applications from candidates with non-cognate degrees will also be considered
- Passionate about Real Estate and Development
- Awareness and understanding of issues affecting the economy
- Strong IT skills, specifically with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote & Outlook
- Good interpersonal communication, both verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail, along with being a flexible and adaptable team player
- Enthusiasm and energy, as well as a ‘can-do’ attitude!
