How to Apply
Kernon Countryside Consultants Ltd (KCC) are looking for a consultant to assist with development impact assessments and rural planning evaluations nationwide. KCC assess the effects of development on agricultural land and rural businesses, from small residential sites on good quality land to involvement in many Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) across England and Wales, from Durham to Cornwall, Anglesey to Kent.
Your role would be to help with farmer interviews and farm assessments, and with training to become increasingly involved in the drafting of reports. You will need to have an understanding of agricultural enterprises and activities, and a willingness to travel to farms near and far. KCC also provide rural planning advice, and you would be provided with training and mentoring to develop skills in this important sector for agricultural and equestrian development and farm diversification.
We seek someone with a base knowledge of agriculture and a willingness to learn. The role is not restricted to those looking for RICS accreditation, but if that is something you are interested in, we will provide the opportunities for qualification.
We operate from a rural office in the Wiltshire countryside, not far from Swindon.
To apply, please email CV and covering letter to sarah@kernon.co.uk
