How to Apply

GROW works in schools and communities to promote mental well-being, physical health and a more hands-on relationship with the natural world.

From yoga to farming, philosophical thinking to boxing, GROW’s specially designed programme gives young people the knowledge, skills and confidence to think beyond their day-to-day routines.

Since launching our pilot scheme at The Totteridge Academy, North London in May 2019, GROW has started a Forest School, built a community farm and rolled out a full programme to 300 students per week as part of the curriculum.

We work with schools to deliver the GROW curriculum, a completely new package that teaches children about food, farming and well-being. Every student who comes through GROW will learn essential and practical life-skills that will help them lead healthier, happier and more connected lives.

A key part of the GROW learning experience is our 6 acre field. We are creating a vibrant working farm that will form a key part of our curriculum as well as being a community farm with opportunities for families and adults.

It’s a busy and exciting time for GROW as we expand our programme into primary schools in Barnet and we are looking for a new facilitator to help us deliver our programmes.

As GROW is expanding in 2021, we are looking for a freelance food and farming facilitator to join our team to help us deliver our programmes.

We currently have 2 horticulture facilitators working for GROW but with our programme expanding rapidly in 2021, we are looking for someone else spectacular to join our team to ensure we always have high quality facilitators ready to deliver. With a newly funded project taking place over the next 3 years where we will be delivering the GROW programme with 4 local primary schools, we need someone who is confident, flexible and ready to step in to support where it is needed.

The hours of this role are TBC depending on our projects, but there will be definite scope to expand to more regular work quite rapidly, with the right person.
