Eurofins Agroscience Services provides analytical, regulatory and field support to the crop protection industry. Our technical activities involve conducting field studies on/in agricultural crops to determine the safety and efficacy of new agrochemicals and crop varieties.

We have industrial placements available within our field teams, actively taking part in field trials. We have vacancies at our base in Wilson (Derbyshire), Malton (Yorkshire) and Stowmarket (Suffolk) for an Industrial Placement Student wishing to develop and gain experience in the areas of crop science, field trials and general agronomy. We have opportunities for a 6 and 12 month placement to commence in spring/summer 2023.

Successful candidates will spend time working outdoors with experienced Field Trial Officers. You will assist in all necessary checking, preparation and calibration of equipment, vehicles, chemicals and other materials and actively take part in the application of pesticides to a variety of crops. You will also be involved in the assessment of crops, weeds, pests and diseases and assist in collecting, gathering and storing suitable specimens for residue analysis.

In addition, opportunities may be available to spend time with our Agricultural Machinery Team, Operational Exposure (OPEX) Team, Seeds Business, Chemical Store, Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory (ASMD) and Study Management departments throughout your placement.
