Cotswold Blacklion Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced farm hand with experience of public engagement for our sheep farm in the North Cotswolds, near Moreton-in-Marsh.

We run an 600+ pasture-fed sheep dairy across 300 acres, currently milking 400. The farm has an independent award-winning cheesemaker contract, located just a few miles from the farm.

This is a full time, permanent position and a great opportunity for someone to work with a small team on an expanding family farm. Experience of sheep is essential, as is a full UK driving licence, tractor and loader tickets as well as livestock trailer experience. The salary package is competitive but will depend upon experience.

The Role:
• Reporting directly to farm owner
• General sheep husbandry of the dairy flock and followers, reporting with guidance to the head shepherd
• Maintaining high levels of animal welfare
• Maintaining documentation for farm assurance
• On-hand during lambing season
• Daily general farm duties such as feeding, bedding down, repairs, fencing etc
• Simple plumbing and basic DIY capabilities a bonus
• Completion of Master of Medicine course desirable
• Act as a friendly and knowledgeable ambassador for BLACKLION Vodka
• Engage with visitors and lead tours of the farm, explaining the role of sheep in our sustainable vodka production
• Communicate effectively with the public, providing an educational and enjoyable experience for all guests.
