How to Apply

If you would like to register your interest in Seasonal Ecologist positions for 2024, we are considering applications now.

We are looking for a number of enthusiastic Field Ecologists to help us with our busy survey season from March next year and have some limited pre-season opportunities for office-based work to help us prepare for the season ahead.

You will need to have a qualification in Ecology or a related field, and ideally have experience of protected
species surveys; however, we are able to provide relevant training for a limited number of surveyors to carry out some aspects of survey work.

At present we have a specific requirement for help on great crested newt and bat surveys in south-west of
England (predominantly around Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Oxfordshire) and south Wales.
If we do not have immediate assignments for suitably qualified candidates then details will be kept on a database to enable us to match candidates to assignments throughout the survey season.

In the longer term, if our growth rate continues to meet our targets, we would hope to be able to offer some
permanent positions at the end of the season.

You will need:

• A full clean driving licence
• Your own car
• A mobile phone which you would be willing to use to liaise with the office
• Willingness to work independently and out of normal office hours
• Some sites require a CSCS card, so this would be an advantage
