About Us
We are looking for an enthusiastic initiative-taker with some previous knowledge of Countryside Access type work to support our Officers in all aspects of their duties including site inspections, stakeholder engagement, volunteer co-ordination and GIS database management.
About the Role
Following a recent review, an exciting opportunity has arisen to support our team of four Countryside Access Officers in protecting, maintaining, and improving access to the 2600-mile Public Rights of Way network across Oxfordshire. The network provides access to the county's diverse landscape which includes the Chilterns, the Cotswolds, and the North Wessex Downs, as well as important links through urban areas such as Oxford, Henley, Witney, and Banbury. Access to green space is ever more important for recreation, health and well-being, this could be your chance to help make a real difference to the communities and stakeholders in Oxfordshire.
About you
We are looking for somebody with
- An understanding and interest for countryside access management issues.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- A valid driving licence and the ability to undertake site visits in all weathers, sometimes in challenging terrain and often whilst loan working.
- Self-motivation, good organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise a varied & demanding workload.
- A passion for this area and keen to make a difference.
- Good written and IT skills with a keen eye for detail and a high degree of accuracy
