We design, build and manage our own 2000km FTTP network in-house and are one of the leading suppliers making use of several Government funded voucher programmes.
Wessex Internet is proud to be a project partner in the 5G RuralDorset trials. This is part government funded project aimed at understanding how next generation connectivity can help people live better, safer, and more prosperous lives in rural communities. Wessex Internet is leading the agriculture work that will see Dorset become a world-leader in agri-tech.
We have an exciting new opportunity within our Project Management Team for a self-starter to play a key role in the UK’s largest 5G trials in agriculture and aquaculture. Reporting into our Project Manager the role will be focused around two main objectives: Firstly, looking at engagement strategies, and how Wessex Internet can develop strong relationships and partnerships with farmers and industry players to develop new innovations and opportunities. This will involve meeting and visiting stakeholders, holding workshops and trial days, and keeping all parties up to date with trial progress.
This role will also include supporting the completion of a detailed market analysis of the opportunities available in agri-tech and where new value can be delivered in the industry. This will involve working with industry partners in both primary and secondary research.
We are looking for a candidate with a good understanding and knowledge of the agricultural industry with previous sector / academic experience. You will need to be self-motivated, proactive, and confident in putting your own ideas forward and creating your own opportunities.

Full training will be provided with an extensive onboarding process.
This role is an initial 8-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of moving to a full time, permanent position. Working hours will be 24 hours per week, over 3 days. This is can be flexible to suit the right candidate.
