How to Apply

We are developing a livery business on a yard that was previously private. We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, high standards of work and integrity, and deep knowledge and passion for horses.

Opportunity to keep own horse at yard.

Professionalise operations – the first objective for the successful candidate is to review operations and perfect or implement processes and routines to ensure the yard operates with high professional standards and to place it on solid footing to grow.
Grow business – we have 6 full-liveries and 16 part-liveries today. We are looking to grow to 20 full liveries over time as vacancies arise. This means that there is meaningful growth ahead that the successful candidate will be expected to manage.
Continuous improvement – we want someone who will manage the yard with a mindset that always pushes the bar higher and continuously improves service quality for our clients.
Reinvestment – as the business grows, we expect to reinvest in the yard where there is a business case to add value. This means we expect the successful candidate to help us identify investment opportunities to improve facilities and operations.

The successful candidate will manage all horse handling duties and client relations. The stable manager will have support from other estate staff to conduct general maintenance and heavy-duty stable care (e.g., mucking-out). The stable manager will oversee this work and make sure it is conducted effectively and efficiently.
