The role

We are on the look out for a Nature Executive within our Environment Team to support the delivery of Tesco’s nature agenda to drive and accelerate our work to protect nature, supporting resilience in key sourcing landscapes and our ambition to reach net zero across our full value chain by 2050.

You will play a pivotal role in sustainability reporting, data analysis, nature programme coordination, consultancy and partner management, budget management and governance activities.

You will be responsible for
  • Data management: Coordinate data collection, validation and analysis for nature (soil health, water and biodiversity) and forests reporting, including mandatory reporting disclosures, external frameworks and industry initiatives.
  • Risk assessment: Prepare soil health, water and biodiversity-related risk assessments across Tesco’s own operations and priority commodity supply chains, including analysis to inform business decision-making.
  • Project support: Support delivery of the Nature Programme, including project coordination, relationship management with external partners, governance, and performance tracking.
  • Strategic support: Assist with nature-related strategy development, regulatory requirements, and emerging priorities.
  • Budgeting: Budget management, contracts, procurement, and payment processes.
You will need
  • Experience or academic background in sustainability, ESG or a related field
  • Project and stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Experience working with reporting processes and large datasets.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and external partners.
