We are based in Northern Italy, (Lombardy), in a small rural town near Brescia and an hour from Milan, and are a few months away from opening a fine dining farm to table, Agrotourism restaurant and shop.

We are looking for a capable person to manage our produce (fruit and veg), program to supply our kitchens with a range of produce

Salary will be competitive for the right applicant. Attitude is more important than experience, but some experience or qualification is necessary.

The project is at the early stages and will grow. We have two restaurant concepts and a retail shop attached to the smallholding which the gardener will provide product for and liaise with.

The successful applicant will have the freedom to plant almost anything, and to experiment alongside the need for specific products like tomato, onion, celery, lettuce, strawberries, carrots etc. The aim is organic. Knowledge of mushroom farming would be an advantage.

We will be planting vines for a small boutique range of wines sold predominantly in our outlets.

The person will be responsible for planning crops, planting crops, land, soil and crop management and maintenance, staff, crop rotation, greenhouses, growing tunnels, fruit trees, flowers, general garden maintenance in keeping with the visual impact of a fine dining set up, packing of product for our retail outlet.
Liaising with other growers in the area to ‘fill in’ where necessary

Transport will be provided and assistance with visa applications will be provided. A monthly salary including a small profit share on retail sales will be provided. Assistance with accommodation will be considered subject to number of people (individuals or entire family). Leave will be generous. Hours will be long and some weekend work will be expected.
