Description

How to Apply

The employer is Amet Property Limited, a consultancy based in Oundle providing advice to developers and landowners to help them to develop land and property. A large proportion of the business is producing agricultural land classification reports to be submitted alongside planning applications for major developments and this is the area of the business for which an employee is sought.

The role involves assisting in the preparation of agricultural land classification reports. This will include pre-site planning and then going to site to survey soil using a soil auger and digging with a spade and recording details of the findings in a spreadsheet on site. You will use this information on your return to the office to prepare reports for clients. In time you will be expected to understand the full process from an instruction coming in through all relevant presite planning, on site survey and finally report writing. Full training will be provided but being a fast learner and able to retain information will be a significant advantage.

Requirements

While there are no specific requirements some understanding of soils and agricultural land use will be a benefit and a background in science, either A-levels or a science degree will be an advantage.
