Due to an increasing workload, we are looking for additional bat surveyors to join our team of trusted self-employed sub-contractors for the 2025 season (May–September). We welcome applications from both experienced surveyors and those looking to gain experience in bat surveying.

We are particularly looking for surveyors based in Hampshire, West Sussex, Surrey, Wiltshire, Dorset and Oxfordshire.

For applicants new to bat surveying, we offer:

• A free training evening in April 2024, led by our friendly and experienced team.
• Two mandatory shadowing sessions with experienced surveyors during May. These field-based sessions are designed to introduce you to survey methods out on site, equipment handling, and working as part of a team. Mileage will be reimbursed for shadowing sessions, although the time itself is unpaid.
• Following completion of shadowing, new surveyors will begin working as part of our sub-contractor team for the remainder of the season.
