AF & NM Nott Farms is a 1000ha, diverse arable estate based at Maplestead Hall, Little Maplestead, Halstead, Essex.

We are looking to recruit the following for 2025 - 2026 Cereal Harvest:

General Farm Worker (Gap/Placement Year Student)

The role will include a wide range of farming activities such as corn carting, secondary cultivations, spraying and general farm activities utilising modern John Deere machinery. The farm consists of a young team and a diverse range of crops grown (Wheat, Barley, OSR, Poppies, Borage & Christmas trees. Incorporating sewage sludge and digestate applications within the cropping rotations.

An exciting opportunity for a student looking to gain experience of a large diverse farming business.

• Willing to learn all aspects of our arable operations
• Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
• Takes pride in their work, clean and tidy
• Works well as part of a team and independently
• Honest and trustworthy

Requirements:

• Must have the right to work in the UK
• Full driving license
• Telehandler ticket desirable. Training can be provided.
• PA1 & PA2 desirable. Training can be provided
• Prepared to work long hours, including weekends when required
