Part of the Cefetra Group and working from their office in Hampshire, Premium Crops operates in the exciting and expanding arena of speciality and high value arable crops, the company has built up an enviable reputation as a first-class provider of profitable crops for UK agriculture. The crop list includes; Winter and Spring Linseed, HEAR, Borage, Canary Seed, Millet, Red Wheat and Naked Oats.
This job is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain experience and skills working in a small and friendly team. The role includes providing agronomic advice to growers nationwide, organising trials and interpreting the results. A good basic understanding of agriculture and a passion for agronomy is vital.
Role purpose
• Premium Crops is expanding its contracting capability in the UK and as such is looking for someone to provide on-farm technical support, helping to reinforce the relationship between growers and the company
• Supporting and Co-ordinating Crop trialling and Product Development throughout the UK.
• Data analysis
• Liaising with marketing on social media content
• Supporting the Cefetra grain buyers
• Coordinating projects and supporting the agronomists
• The successful candidate will be speaking with farmers and growers on a face to face and telephone basis as well as supporting all aspects of the supply chain from initial contact, through to contract completion.
