Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Land and Property Management student looking for an exciting new challenge? Greenslade Taylor Hunt (GTH) is a prestigious firm of Chartered Surveyors, Auctioneers, and Land & Estate Agents with a network of 24 offices across Somerset, Devon and Dorset and are now looking to expand their team with the next generation of rural professionals.
About Us
GTH has been established since 1843 and now have a wide offering of services, including estate management, farm agency, rural lettings, valuations, compensation schemes, grant schemes, estate agency, commercial agency, auctioneering and various other professional services to our large local community.
The GTH training programme assists parties in their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) examinations, to include the preparation leading up to it. With the number of rural graduates, placement students and apprentices fluctuating between 10 and 20 at any given time, there are always colleagues on-hand at a similar stage of career progression. Obtaining fellowship to the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers is also strongly encouraged.
The successful applicant will be assisting the rural professional department based within our network of offices. They will support in all matters that may affect landowners, farmers, landlords and tenants and so there is the potential to obtain a broad experience in a wide range of work including private client management matters such as grant applications, creating and helping with compensation claims, agricultural and residential lettings, farm and land sales and RICS valuation research as well as estate management.
In addition to rural professional work at times there may also be opportunities to assist or gain experience working within Sedgemoor Auction Centre, being the largest livestock market in the South of England.
The successful candidate should:
- Have a full UK driving licence and use of a car
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly motivated with an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude
- A good willingness to learn
- Able to work both as a team member and under their own initiative.
